This is where I'm going to need everyone who wants to help out with the project to post; that way, myself and the rest of the team can keep up with who's doing what. All I need is for anyone interested to let me know what skills you have, and from there we'll work out how you can help. Contributing ideas is counted as a default. Also, if you've already posted in the first thread, please post here anyway, just so people can get a clear idea of who is and isn't involved. Current MembershipTwilitbeing - 3-D modeling, level design Hissara - voice acting §Tsunami§ - music, plot construction Dark Aura - music, script writing bpskotch - UPDATE: This thread now doubles as a "switching station." Links to all related threads are listed here, and all related threads should have links leading back here, preferably in the first post. As BP commented elsewhere, organization is crucial. Links are currently in chronological order, to be sorted by topic later. Prower Power Forum - BP's alternate base of operations. Whether to work on the project here or elsewhere needs to be decided. From now on, all activities concerning the project should take place here. Proposition - the thread that started it all. Revival - bpskotch's nudge to try and get us rolling again. Broad structure/concept ideas.

Well, I do have a good imagination with setting and characters, but I'm bad with art. I do wish to practice Voice Acting as well. So, I'm best with voice acting with a deep voiced characters. (Metarex maybe? Someone evil?)

You could do the commanders' voices, though it would probably taking some editing to make it sound right. Imagination is always welcome.

Plot construction and music, like before.
I could work with setting and characters as well, although less so with setting than characters.
Voice acting is so not my thing. And although a female voice might be useful, the last time Olivia ever had her voice recorded she couldn't stop laughing.

It might help you chose if you would require my sorta sound. And I do have a lotta imagination. Like one for an intro... Would you need artists? I might know a guy who would like to help.

I suppose if one knew the right places and the right people in the right places, we could assemble a whole team of artists.
Optimistic, but it can pay....

It's a sacrifice yes, but you just got roll the dice and not hope for the snake eyes.

Snake eyes are okay... but if it's a basilisk... I hope you like cold rocks....
I'm curious, Twilitbeing... how are you going to get things to move? Is it something like this, in which the variable must be defined before the action can be done:
object oMove = GetEnteringObject(); object oWP = GetObjectByTag("");
AssignCommand(oMove, ActionMoveToLocation(oWP);
Is it something simpler? Just curious. (Actually, the above command is for triggers under C++ if I'm right, not controls. Oh well.)

Anybody who wants to help out is welcome to, as long as they can hold to a commitment. Tsunami: Moving objects in Unreal (and, in fact, any kind of cause-and-effect relations) are done with a form of visual scripting called Kismet, in which a relatively complex system looks like this: img329.imageshack.us/img329/967/kismettest1jb5.jpgSimpler devices (an elevator that moves when you stand on it and returns when you step off, for example) appear as only two boxes: one that defines stepping on and off, and another that controls the elevator's movement. The motion itself is animated in a separate tool called Matinee, which is keyframe-based. Hissara: Well, who do you think you could play? It's not so important that the voices exactly match Sonic Team's, more that they fit the character in question.

Well, do you know how I sound? Because it might help you pick a voice for me to best.

I don't know how you sound, hence my asking you to pick.

Well... you don't really sound like any character I can think of there, but I highly doubt that one video could show me your full spectrum. Again, you know your own skills better than I do.

He's got a point there, Hissara. Be confident, always practice, and you know best who you can play.
I looked at the visual scripting, and I recognize and understand a lot of the parts, such as how false occurs, and int, string, and other stuff. All in all, very interesting and in many ways, similar.

Oddly enough, I know very little of my skills. People have criticized my dark tones in writing, looks, and my sort of humour, but never my voice personally. My voice is the only thing I would like to be criticized.
The thing I know about my voice is that I sound best as either a grouchy old man or a mad man.

I'll be sure to keep that in mind. For now, though, we should probably wait to go into specifics until we reach the right point in the process.
