Also another thing on the possible survival of Cosmo's sisters.
Remember in the ARK series this one scene. Sonic was caught in a pod by Eggman and it was shot off and exploded. Everyone thought Sonic had died then, even Tails went all out in a battle against eggman for revenge. But really Sonic managed to escape at the last moment by using Chaos Control before the pod detonated. Tails and the others thought he was KIA, but he was only MIA feared dead and really survived. So as I am saying, since it was never actually shown, maybe they managed to escape at the last moment. Not exactly using Chaos Control, but perhaps some other way (like the escape pod thing I keep mentioning). Also they may have done the same thing as Eggman in Episode 61, when it looked like Scarship hit their ship directly, maybe in truth (like eggman) they made the missiles fly through these hidden hatches they opened up, set off smoke bombs, and then used the warp system to get away. How is that?
And yet another thing, I have seen the characters in Sonic survive that kind of stuff before. Like for example, on multiple occasions, Bokkun would set off a bomb at close range, and Sonic doesn't get killed by it somehow, he just gets covered in soot, or one of eggman's machines blows up in his face and he survives somehow. And Somehow they have survived in space, like during the Scarship boss battle, Sonic, Amy, and Knuckles g=just flew to it with jet packs. They didn't need oxygen masks, protective gear, or stuff like that, they just went in their normal attire, and they somehow they didn't die of lack of oxygen or something else. Maybe Cosmo's sisters survived that way too.

Inconsistencies do appear frequently in the Sonic Universe... For example, Molly's death versus Eggman's presumed death.
Ok... let us just get one thing straight before we have too many more arguments. I already know by saying this, there will be more arguments, or someone will ignore my heedings, but, whatever, worth a shot.
WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.
THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE ALL SEEDRIANS EXCEPT COSMO WERE KILLED IN THE BATTLE WITH THE SCARSHIP.
THERE IS A SMALL POSSIBILITY THAT COSMO'S FAMILY AND FRIENDS MADE IT OUT.
Does that settle it? There IS a possibility, however unlikely, that they survived, but it is ALSO VERY LIKELY that they all died.
Are we good?

Yeah, we should divert the topic to other things about them, like what qualities you enjoy about them, who you think is the cutest, who is your favorite and things like that. It will be better off that way.

Do they all have amulets? And do you think Cosmo's is the only empowered one? ~Joe Yes in fact, they all do wear similar jewels on their shirts. Although I am not sure if all of the jewels have special powers, but I'd guess they do since Cosmo and her sisters all are said to have the same abilities. I also noticed some of them have different colored jewels, though I am not sure if this has any significance.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Cosmo's jewel the same one Hertia had? It would make sense if that one jewel were more powerful since it belonged to the female Seedrian leader.
Also.
Honestly? I don't believe they have the same abilities, because it was said that Cosmo was born to save the galaxy - so her "powers", or at least what she could do, in theory would be stronger, right? I don't remember who else said it but I remember in the English dub Eggman said it was her destiny to save the galaxy. Why get Cosmo to do it if any of the others had the same powers and could do just that (had they been confirmed to survive)?
As well as that I hope they didn't have the same powers. If every character could run as fast as Sonic, would you like him that much? Probably not, because it would take away Sonic's unique ability. I like seeing what individuals can do with their unique powers. If they all had different powers they could help solve each others' weaknesses with what another was strong at. = Better result in fight/bad situation/etc = yay not death (assuming that they lived to even be in such a situation, for this concept)

You know I've been thinking and I noticed that Cosmo's sisters have similarities to a set of characters from another show I used to like before it got cancelled, My Life as a Teenage Robot. Those characters are XJ9 (Jenny's) prototype siblings. Much like Cosmo's sisters, Jenny's sisters were extremely loved siblings of her and some of them had similar personalities. Also like them, though they meant much to her, we really didn't get to see that much of them in the show. However for XJ9, it wasn't due to them going MIA feared dead, it was because they were prototypes for what would be her and her creator, Wakeman, thought of them as obsolete and wanted them kept offline. Not only that, but both Cosmo's sisters, and XJ9's sisters of the majority were extremely cute, and cute to the point of me liking them more than the main sibling. What do you think of that?

I find it odd to assume anything outside of the creators realm. If they do not continue it, or if Cosmo does not appear in any continuation, it can be assumed Cosmo's sisters are gone. It is only with the return of Cosmo, obviously assuming the season is continued, that hop eof their survival could occur from some suggested concept.
2: There are a ton of inconstincies. There are always inconstincies, they are writers, not scientists. There are a ton of unrealistic things that occur here, and thus putting realism to something fake can be silly. (Again, why do people put vegetarinism on Cosmo? There is no supporting evidence of such eating habbits, and even if we did, it would contradict plant behavior. Photosynthetic or carnivor is a better answer, vegeterian is the incorrect, assumed answer often brought up.

Guys, didn't I tell you all to stop with the argument of if Cosmo's sisters survived or not. I don't want this to turn into a bad argument. I even was discussing before how they remind me of XJ9's sisters in a way. I also want to expand on another part. Also. I like seeing what individuals can do with their unique powers. If they all had different powers they could help solve each others' weaknesses with what another was strong at. = Better result in fight/bad situation/etc = yay not death (assuming that they lived to even be in such a situation, for this concept) Well the difference is that Sonic is not related to any of the others (like Tails is not Sonic's brother etc.) so it would make sense if they all had the same powers. I think I said it a bit wrong there, maybe some of them would have a few different ones, or might be more advanced at one than the other, but I'm sure they all have the same basic abilities, seeing that they all are female Seedrians and are all related to each other. Like they all must have the same primiary powers, like talking to plants by putting their hands on them, regenerating wounds and lost limbs by absorbing water, gliding down gently by using their waist lily petals, leaf cutters, vines coming form the ground etc. Maybe Cosmo had a few different, but her basic ones would probably be the same as the others. And by the way, I think wither Galaxina or Crysanthemum's powers would be the strongest, with Hertia's being even better, mainly because they are the oldest. Therefore they would have more time to develop theirs and become more experienced at using them. It's kinda like in Metal Gear Solid, how Solid Snake and Naked Snake were brothers and also shared the same powers because of that, but Solid Snake's powers were stronger because he was older and more developed.

... I don't think anyone was arguing whether they survived or not.... My statement was an analysis of what the writers could do, not on what they actually will do or have done, because I cannot analyze that accurately at this time.
As for the concept of power, one must be careful before assuming all of the crystals hold power. Hertias alone could have been special, while the others are decoration. But such assumptions must be done carefully, as for we must analyze both the world and the wrtier's minds. Perhaps the writers did not consider about the other sisters, thinking it insignificant.
But if Galaxina is right, and that they all do have powers, if they are derived from the crystal, they are likely all equal. If they are derived from within, they may even then still be equal. But there is a chance some could be better than others as well, but age is not necessarily the strongest influence on this. Some members could have a natural stronger grasp of their power than others.
(Sorry if I sound sophisticated.... I'm reading my writing and seeing it is sounding a bit more complex than usual.)

Well another thing I wanted to say about Cosmo's sisters, or more specifially a friend of mine did and I'd like to mention and see what you think of his opinion. He also happens to be a bigger fan of the Megaman series than me even. Basically, he says that Cosmo's sisters also remind him of this character from MegaMan X known as the Green Biker Dude. He says the similarity is that both Cosmo's sisters and Green Biker had very little screentime in their respective series and were shot down by the enemy very early on, but despite that they both have become extremely popular among most fans and have been given almost as much recognition as one of the main characters in the series. What do you think of that? I personally think he's trying to say he hates them, but he does have a point here.

Hmm.. do I detect a hint of De Ja Vu? We've been here before.
In the scheme of the stories, Cosmo fills a VERY familiar role, and no doubt, you've discovered that role in another manifestation of the same story. Honestly, I don't know crap about Megaman. However, I can nearly promise you that it is likely that a robot-thing from Megaman (Insert ignorance here,) and a seedrian have little in common physically. Role-wise, I'm sure they do. In purpose, no doubt.
Do me one favor though, if your friend suggested the similarity based on their color scheme, slap him hard and call him stupid.
Honestly though, the fabase seems to get in a hissy about minor characters often. To many fans, it is the "added details" that set one game/series apart from the last. Now if that is a good thing, fansites such as this are made, and if it is not... then hate-sites pop up.

He said Cosmo's sisters, not Cosmo herself, and he said that they were similar by the roles that both of them played in the series, not by their looks.
Oh, and I have been thinking something else about Cosmo and her sisters. A lot of people say that Cosmo is only 8 or 9, and her sisters aren't much older, but I don't think we can be sure of that. The reason being is that I had a thought that Seedrians may have longer lifespans than humans, and perhaps age slower than us too. Plus maybe her homeworld of Greengate may have a much different rotation and orbit time, (like one year on her world is like maybe 25 years or so on Earth). This would seem plausible, since I have heard many plants and trees can live for like a thousand years if taken care of well. Perhaps maybe Cosmo and her sisters might be a lot older, (I wouldn't be surprised if Galaxina would be like 200 or so years old now). So maybe Cosmo really isn't like 8 or 9, perhaps she is like 80 or 90, but it just is different in how her kind ages, and how the time periods are treated on her world.
What do you think of that? Does that sound about right?

You just seem to be trying to read into it too much... the way you talked about the sisters/other Seedrians being alive so much and that theory of them being more plant-like in age and stuff. It seems like you're looking into it too much, like the idea of her being a simple plant-like alien whose entire species was wiped out except for her is just too simplistic for her and you're trying to make her more complex, and you're comparing her to other characters from different games/shows all the time. I don't think character development is a bad thing, but you could end up with your own version of Cosmo from all these comparisons and theories who has been developed so much she's barely like the actual version in the show.
...and also, if your theory was true, it would technically mean that Cosmo (who would be in her eighties or nineties then) is a pedo being with Tails. xD

Well Twilight did something like this in one of his topics, and you don't seem to complain about that.
Also it wouldn't make Cosmo a pedo with Tails, for perhaps time is treated differently on her world (like perhaps its orbit and rotation is longer, and like one year on her world would be like 10 years or more on earth). So maybe she would be considered 80 or 90 in earth time, but on her world, it would be about 8 or 9. It's kinda like with the Asari in Mass Effect. They were a race that also had lifespans of about 1000 years, but also had a slower age rate and didn't really appear it at times. Even then, some like 40 year old characters were still willing to go out with like a 500 year old Asari and still feel okay with it. Maybe it would be sorta like that with Cosmo.
I was planning on other aliens to be explain in this kind of matter in my Sonic X series I've been working on too.

At the beginning of Cosmo's transformation, her amulet breaks apart, seemingly intentionally/she knew it would break. Whether the amulet was the key to setting off the transformation, a necessary part of the transformation or just something that happened anyway we can never truly know, but the point is she didn't have it after she transformed because it broke.
What annoys me is that lots of fan-artists draw future Cosmo and Tails (and explain that Cosmo returned through some cliche and extremely overused way) and they are living together and married, but... when she initially returns she has her full outfit and amulet, and yet the older Cosmo doesn't have it. Considering it was her mother's amulet I highly doubt she would have just "gotten rid of it" and people always leave out that detail of keeping it on her. but anyway i'll stop ranting about off-topic stuff lol
EDIT: Also I forgot to mention, personally I don't think the colours of the amulets are of any relevance. In my view, they're about as meaningful as the fact that Sonic's shoes are red.

For my fanfiction, Sero et Umbra, I did a LOT of research and movie watching to discover things I missed abotu seedrians. I found a lot of stuff. But, to the chase, I solved the amulet problem with a little thing in the episode on Planet Greengate. Hertia/Earthia leaves a video message for Amy and Rouge to watch, (and kinda of Shadow.) In it, the concept of "going to the final stage" is broached multiple times. For the male seedrians, they turn into a dragon/dinosaur like creature with treeroots as ears. They are strong, but it saps their life away. Hertia urges her people NOT to do this. She places her amulet on the table and explains how "it" will stop them from transforming. From this, I've deduced a few things: 1. The amulet stops seedrians from transforming. 2. Transforming seems to be influenced by emotional intensity (Cosmo transforms for her friends, Dark Oak and his men transform to protect their homeworld, Hertia transforms to navigate the ship, I beleive.) 3. The amulet acts as a "restraining bolt" to the seedrians. It stops them from using any of their "powers" to the maximum extent. Furthermore, in the fandrawings, though obviously unintensional, it is possible that any future Cosmo would NEED the amulet to remain in her humanoid form. In essence, it may grant her a form of immortality. If it is stopping her evolutionary process by keeping her from becoming a tree (going to the final stage) then hypothetically, she would remain in her "premature self" her whole life. (Premature is defined as NOT A TREE.) Whatdya think? Eh? Ehhh? ~Joe
