XT's and Galaxina's Lego threads planted their idea in my head, and originally I planned on showing off my own building skills. However, a bizarre set of circumstances resulted in me losing a fair bit of my own Lego collection, so I eventually decided to do my building in Spore's Creature Creator, my goal being to eventually make all of the Sonic characters. I started with Cosmo because she has the simplest overall design (no difficult features like quills). Besides, the creator has a good selection of plant-like parts available, so I figured she wouldn't be too hard. That was before. Almost immediately, the limitations of the program (it is a game, after all) started to give me problems. The head and neck wouldn't shape properly, and I couldn't find suitably humanoid eyes, jaws, or hands. In addition, there's no way to manually color your creatures; to get the buds and amulet the right color, I had to change Detail to red, which also tinged other parts such as the skirt that were supposed to be green or white. A shot from behind, showing more detail as to how the green part of the dress was made. Ideally I would have simply colored her arms, but the program doesn't allow that. Instead, I covered the arms and upper torso in whatever leafy-looking material I could get - grass camouflage, reshaped leaf skirts, and the like. Cosmo performing the "scared" pose, a command that can be given in Test Drive mode. Oddly enough, she looks more like herself here, perhaps because the face is hidden. This also shows how the hair was done: a ring of leaf parts and a path of green to disguised the gap in the middle. The buds (crystal pieces) are simply set on top of the leaves. To complete the picture above, imagine Shadow standing over her. So, what do you think? Should I make more?

While I do admit this isn't phenomenal, I have to say that's likely the closest anyone will get to her. So yeah, keep going.

Spore is cool, but it has its limits; it's a game, not a modeling program.
I swear she didn't look that green when I was building her...

I think that Cosmo needs work. Try using the little dot eyes instead of the big ones with pupils and a normal mouth instead of big ruby lips, it will give her that cute and cuddly appearance. I definately think you should make more though Twilight, please keep up the good work.
And why haven't you uploaded any of these to Youtube as videos? You really should.
I also found some spore-isms that other people have made on Youtube. These ones I found and I thought they would all help you with your spore-isms for the future. You could maybe take inspiration off them. Tell me what you think of them and if you can use them. NOTE: None of them are mine, I don't even own Spore.
A chao. pretty neat and really accurate. I think you could do better though. Plus with a hair tuft replacing the sphere on its head and a few head shape changes, you could recreate a certain spellcasting, fortune-telling, minimalistic race if you know what I mean.
Sonic in all his glory. Definiately try to do something like this, he should be priority number one!
Tails, though a bit wierd looking, it is good for the limits I have heard of in spore.
Check this out, I even found Shadow done in Spore. Maybe you could make him too!
Try doing Eggman in Spore too, like this guy did.
Whadaya know, Chaos 0 in spore
Here's the mysterious Nazo in Spore, though his face could use some work here. You could probably correct that.
Random Halo creatures, really cool and something you would defiantely enjoy. Maybe you could find some inspirational uses in these.
Three space pirates in spore. I think by changing its color, face detail, and some other things, this would make an excellent foot soldier!
Spore Hydralisk, really neat. I bet with a smaller head and actual hands, this would go great as a Naga.
Spore Omega Pirate, awesome defiantely. If you gave it more arms on its back, made it green, and gave it only one eye and horns, im sure you would have a Voltnid.
Chibi Miku Hatsune in Spore. You should use this design, but green colored and with slightly different features to get Cosmo right.
Now here's Miku full bodied. You should use a design similar to this to do characters such as Chris, Molly, and a few other humans and Cascadians.
Just had to put it in, Master Chief in Spore.
A couple completely original designs in Spore, that I like (I didn't know you can make ships, robots, and vehicles in Spore). Maybe these ones could be used to make most of the metarex, like Dark Oak, Black Narcissus, or even a Havokk or Scarship, or maybe even the Blue Typhoon! These you really should look at well. Also You might like the name of one of them shown.
Hope these can help you with your spore-isms. Tell me what you think of the ones I found.

Please, all, just do me one thing. Never let me see an XT like that.
They are good, albeit a little funky. Not bad Twilit, not bad at all.
Lord though, those people on youtube, it makes me wonder what their lives are filled with.

Ok, 'llbreak it down, lol.
1st Line: I don't exactly love the way these things come out, (I'm a total perfectionist,) I would be forever tarnished if I saw a faulty XT come out of SPORE. So please, don't ANYONE try to make one...
2nd Line: Despite their odd quality, those SPORE creatures were eerily detailed, especially the Sonic one. It goes to show that people on youtube don't seem to do much else other than craft nearly perfect projects, (no offense, sounds like a waste of time in my mind,) It just weirds me out, I guess.

As creators/modelers go, Spore is pretty time-efficient. The individual pieces have a fair bit of detail built in, so what looks like a dozen or more parts may actually be just one.
I built a pretty accurate Blue Typhoon in about a fifteen minutes, if that helps to illustrate my point.

Also how come you haven't uploaded any of your Spore creations onto Youtube like those others have? It would be cool to see them actually move and react and stuff. And have you thought of creating a Foot Soldier by using that above Space Pirate one as a basis or anything else for the others?

Well... I haven't really pursued this much since the first model, nor to I plan to. I've found that Spore gives much better results when uses for invention instead of imitation. And personally, I'm not that jazzed about watching the things move, seeing as they all follow the same basic patterns of motion. (That said, another creature of mine might be innovative enough to justify a video.)
I'm happy to show you the Typhoon, but you'll have to wait a little while; my game disc is AWOL at present.
