why is it that bad guys (like the Metarex for example) are always trying to invade and conquer the entire Galaxy ? or only a planet to build a metal utopia named Eggman-Land? or just destroy every animal life form in the galaxy to make plant-like rule all?
i don't get it. why conquer a planet or an entire galaxy ? what's the point?
what's going on in Eggman's/Dark Oak's Mind?
Why Do they want to conquer/destroy the planet/galaxy?
and if they cant conquer it, why do they want to destroy it all ? > ---------- <> ---------- <> ---------- <> ---------- <> ---------- <

Because, they want power. Everybody that is everybody wants power. (And do not even TRY to deny what I say.) Whether it be social dominance, political control, nuclear power, money management, or land for boasting, people are always trying to have some sort of control over something. (For example, mine is the ability to influence other's minds, and so far, I'm not doing too bad...)
Eggman wants millions of acres of land to control and govern so that he can feel 'on top'. The Metarex, well, they're a bit different. The Metarex want to have peace, but to have peace, they need to wipe out all other life forms but themselves, so that they could rule in peace and prosperity.
And, this power statement is true for about every kind of villian out there (and even some or more of the good guys...) Sauron, Darth Vader, about any evil queen's from children's stories, Smaug the Dragon, Beowulf, (I am sorry, I just got home, the Jet-lag is making my mind too slow to think of others...)
But, yeah, EVERYBODY wants power. And they will do a lot to get it. And, sometimes, their goals change as the move on. Let's take Anikin Skywalker for an example. (Oh my gosh, I sound JUST like Galaxina...) Anikin, for the love of his wife, and fear of her death, goes out to join the dark side, in hopes of learning how to save people from dying. On the way, however, his mind is corrupted with the thought of taking over Emperor Palpetine's throne to ensure a peaceful environment for himself, his wife, and his children. But, he soon forgets them, and goes mad to try and take over the galaxy with sheer military might. How sad... Another example of good guys gone bad...

You call good guys gone bad "Tragic Heroes." Fitting, if you ask me, though people who forgot to listen to their riddler might be better.

I don't see the difference between cliché bad guys and the ordinary criminal... or one of those troublemakers at school who's always on the "bad side" of their teachers...
Well, looking at it again, I suppose there are some...

The cliché bad guys want power (who doesn't know that?). The common criminal this day do crimes for the kick and money of course. Money has an indirect influence of power. The more money you have the more power you can get. I always say 'As long as humans exist, there will always be war'.

Actually, for as long as any animal (or rather living thing) exists, there will be war...
Octopuses are worse than humans. They brutally attack eachother just over a girl. (A male might go murdur another who's not even interested in his mate.)
The war of Sperm Whales and Squids? Longer than the supposed conflict between the mongoose and the habu.
Aye, animals have their problems to, so until every living thing works together to achieve harmony, there will be war.

I hope George Bush isn't reading this, or he would destroy everything and everyone to get World Peace ( MAJOR LOL ).

If you don't live in America, or don't know enough about our current president, don't try to understand... It is rather complex, but, I'm sure that a few good Dems here may be able to sum it up really good. (On the Democrat/Republican deal, I'm neither. I just choose the person that seems to make up the best deal for my intrests, which is what EVERYBODY SHOULD do.)

Sadly, that's what some people DON'T do... Even I usually lean toward those who advocate love... wait... that's a good thing, heetee!

If it goes with deals most people will always try to pull the deal in their advantage. And I think that Bush isn't that dumb to do such a thing.
