These powers seem real and pretty awesome if you ask me. I also have said before but you didn't say much about this, but Cosmo's sisters and her mother also had these powers as well, since it was kind of like an inherited trait. It is as I said before the result of a rare gene that appears in every one out of ten Seedrians, making Cosmo, Hertia (her mother), and her sisters very fortunate to have them. Also the gene only appears in the female ones for some reason, so no boys have it. If she just would have noticed a little sooner that she had them, (which the site said she will in any possible newer episodes), she could've been a much bigger help in stopping the metarex.

Well I didn't have an account before and also some things that seem real are sometimes fake and I think that they seem pretty fake but I could be wrong.

I must also say that they aren't that good for combat. They only combat powers that I learned about for her were the leaf cutter, which is very basic and not too pwerful, Petal sheild, a bunch of petals that encircle her and create a forcefield, but she has to charge it up first and it can't withstand much hits, and vine crush, her stongest attack, where she makes giant vines come out of the ground like she did in the jungle epsode only a more powerful version of it, but that one requires her to stand still for a long time as she charges it up, leaving her vulnerable. The rest are merely for defense when in combat. Also even though these powers would make her seem quite strong, it does have some downfalls. One was that, as mentioned in the show many times, her physical strength for her to pick up things is quite low due to the fact that her body is about as solid as Play-dough. I think that the most she can lift is 50 pounds, not much, so she isn't that muscular at all. Another drawback is that she is quite light in weight, possibly because she hasn't a single bone or organ in her body and relies on her complex plant cell organells to do her bodily systems. This could make her be thrown around quite easily, as if she was a rag doll or a bean bag. Third is that although she could survive being chooped to tiny bits, it is very easy to cut through her with a bladed weapon, such as a sword. You could use even a not so sharp sword and cut into her as if she were butter. That is why she may not want to fight so much, cause chances are, she would be tossed aside, or cut into little pieces, or beaten badly in very little time.

She got these off an unofficial fansite, probably the same one that was for RPing.

Don't just think that they aren't real so soon, for I have seen a few scenes that prove a few of them in Sonic X. 1. When Cosmo got a planet Egg once, she used a supercharged version of the vine Crush attack mentioned earlier. 2. Cosmo was never seen eating anything at all, for as mentioned earlier, she makes her own food in the from of Chlorophyll by Photosynthesis. 3. Although I don't remember that well, when Cosmo was on the jungle planet, when she fought the baboon Metarex, she was throwing her leaf cutter weapon at it.
Also these powers are one of the main reasons I like Cosmo so much. I don't know what I would think of her if I truly found out they weren't real.

Jman: If Cosmo had one TRUE power, it would probably be her ability to transform into a form that looks sorta like her mother. I have seen it and her hair gets longer and she helps defeat Dark Oak.
Gecko: TRUE POWERS! TRUE POWERS! *looks angrier than a cat in a cage* I have seen conspiracy theories more plausible than this rubbish!!!

Well, maybe you should base how you think of her on how she acts and how she treats everyone, not what some random, unofficial fansite said her "secret powers" were "going to be in the next Sonic X season."

The only things that I like about Cosmo so much are how cute she looks, and these powers. I don't care about her personality, for I never do about anyone. If something in a newer episode of Sonic X proved that they are fake, and that Cosmo is as weak and vulnerable as an infant, my opinion on her would change for the worse, for this reason is the reason I hate Chris, Maria, Tikal, Gerald Robotnik, Elyse (sonic Xbox360), and the rest of Chris's family, since they don't have special powers and wouldn't last 5 seconds in a fight with even one of Eggman's weakest robots. I know about how she can glide, talk to plants, and determine plant conditions, but those are stupid powers and are not very useful in combat or for overcoming obstacles. Nowthe powers expalined on the site are extremely useful in fights and for getting through a tough spot, and they could be much more useful in even other situations than that.

I have some more to say about these powers now. 1. When I read about the maleability and sweet taste ones, it said she could flatten herself as thin as paper, roll into a ball, or squeeze into tight areas, while the sweet taste one didn't say much after. Later, when I was talking to a friend about them, and got to the par that only explosions, fire, poison, freezing, dehydration, etc could only kill her, he said, hey since she tastes sweet, what if I ate her, like cut her up and made her a little salad with dressing and croutons, or mold her into 2 slices of bread and put Peanut butter and jelly into between and make her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, then I eat her and then she's done for. That is when I thought of the humorous idea that Cosmo could mold into scrumptous snacks.
2. Cosmo also, takes advantage of these powers and uses them to be shot out of a cannon as a cannonball, survive being beheaded, fit into tight spots, and other things, making them very useful.

Hey, even if it's not true, you shouldn't hate Cosmo. I love Cosmo more than anything else, even though there are people out there who hated her for her personality. Cosmo is cool, and I think she's cooler WITHOUT the powers, because it defines her strengths and weaknesses.
As I said before, I love Cosmo more than anything else.
Except for Tsunami, of course.

If she doesn't have the powers and is as weak and vulnerable as an infant, I don't think she would last long in battle, which is important to me, since Sonic and his pals do a lot of fighting. As said before, having no good powers that are useful in combat is the reason that I hate Chris, Maria, Tikal, Gerald Robotnik, Elyse (sonic Xbox360), and the rest of Chris's family, they would never be good fighters and would be totally useless to Sonic and his pals. I mean Chris, Maria, Tikal, Gerald Robotnik, Elyse (sonic Xbox360), and the rest of Chris's family all could not use cool powers such as how Knuckles is super strong, Cream can fly, Amy can summon the Piko Piko hammer to her hand etc and I thought were totally useless to Sonic and his pals. I even thought Chris Tikal, Maria etc were more of hinders than help since Chris couldn't even stand up to a monkey in battle, let alone an E-series robot or a Metarex, and just were more weight on the hands of the power possesing characters than useful allies. Now if Chris, his family, Maria, etc could do stuff like punch through solid rock, fire energy beams from thier hands, fly, or something else like that, I would actually like them, for they would be actually useful to Sonic and his pals since they could take on hoards of Eggman robots or Metarex like them, but the fact is they can't.
I still like Cosmo since she looks cute and cuddly and peaceful, but the powers make me like her more, as my 1st favorite character. If they were proven fake on the show, she would be downgraded to my 5th favorite character, or maybe worse, but not to the point of hating her. They are also cool since they can be humorous at times.

I wish I could remember the site address so that I could show you all it. I remember the information on Cosmo from it quite well, but as for the address and name, my mind is blank. Don't give up hope though, Tsunami said that he thinks he found it once and even told us in this topic. Oh and I must mention that the site had this as well. It showed images of what could be screenshots (or really expertly drawn fanart) of future Sonic X episodes. Since it was talking about thee powers each of them depicted Cosmo using them in many different ways. The screenshots didn't show much of her using them in combat, but more of her doing other things that most of them were quite humorous. Here is a description of a few of these possible screenshots that were on the site as well. -Cosmo is feeling around with her hands on the ground with her eyeballs missing from her sockets. Her eyeballs are laying somewhere close to her, obviously knocked out of her head by something. The screenshot must be showing her having lost her eyeballs and feeling around for them, since she obviously can't see directly in front of her without her eyeballs. -Cosmo is sitting with her right hand detached. The hand is on the table in front of her, dancing a cancan like dance with its fingers. -Tails is making the X-Tornado's (in walking mode) foot lift up. Underneath its foot, he notices he accidentally stepped on Cosmo with it, for she is clinged to the sole of the foot, flat as a pancake and looking quite surprised. -In possibly a scene that takes place after the last one, Tails is seen trying to fatten Cosmo back up again, for she is still flattened. He has an air pump in her mouth, and is pumping air back into her in order to make her three dimensional again. -In another scene, Cosmo is shown having been knocked apart by something that it did not show then. She is completely in pieces now, having her head, upper torso, lower torso, arms, and legs detached. She also seems to be trying to reassemble herself, for her leg is jumping over to her pelvis where it goes, and her arm is crawling over to her shoulder. -In a part that must come afterwards, Tails is seen giving his "girlfriend" a helping hand by puttingh er back together again. He is reattaching both her arms and her left leg while the other parts lay, waiting to go back on. Her disembodied head is smiling with its mouth open, quite pleased that Tails cares enough to help her get back in one piece. -In a next scene that must be after the last one, Tails seems to have accidentally stuck her head on backwards, as for Cosmo's head is turned backwards and she is looking as if she is like "this isn't how my head goes on."
These scenes are a series that the site said were part of a scene where Tails is playing as a magician, The Great Milesini (or something like that), and Cosmo is his assistant. -The first of these magician Tails scenes shows Tails appearing and bowing to an unseen crowd. -His forst trick shows him pulling Cosmo out of his top hat, who must have been stuffed in there from the start. -Next, Cosmo, who is his assistant, is curtsying to the crowd. -His secong magic trick involves Cosmo in sie of a box, with her head and feet sticking out the sides. Tails is using a saw to cut through the box and Cosmo as well. It is obviously Tails doing the "sawed in two" magic trick on Cosmo. -After he has cut through the box, he then parts the halves, showing the audience that he sliced his assistant into two pieces. -The next parts has Tails heving been tripped over and knocking the boxes where Comso was in over. The boxes also fell open and Cosmo is revealed that is was no trick, but she was indeed cut in half. -The second magic trick concludes with Tails sticking Cosmo's halves back in the box, sticking them back together, and tapping where he sawed through her with his wand, as if he is making it appear that he is using Magic to get both of Cosmo's halves back together. -His third trick is an Indian rope Trick, where you see a rope sticking up in the air to a box-shaped room overhead. You see through an x-ray view that Sonic is holding the rope still. Cosmo is now climbing up the rope and into the room. -Next in the trick, Tails is inside the room, shown by one of his bushy Tails sticking out the opening. Also rumbling is heard, as if Tails and Cosmo are fighting for some reason. -After that "brawl" is finished, you see Cosmo's severed limbs and torso laying on the ground near the sticking up rope. Tails is climbing down the rope, holding Cosmo's head in his arms. -Next for this magic trick, Tails is seen sticking Cosmo's limbs back on and telling her head, which is shown to still be alive, what to do next quite possibly. -To finish off the Indian rope Trick, Tails has put Cosmo's head back on her neck, and is tapping her on the chest with his wand. Cosmo is getting up as if she were just brought back to life, when really it is all an act. This one colncludes the third magic trick. -In the fourth one, Tails puts Cosmo in a box, possibly telling the audience that he is going to mak her disappear. -As Tails taps his wand on the box, Cosmo squeezes into a tiny secret compartment, looking quite cramped in there. -Tails then opens the box, showing that Cosmo is no loonger inside, or at least that's what is appears to be. -He then reopens it and Cosmo is back inside, saying that he made her reappear. If I could show you al these possible screenshots, you would all think of them as funny, but I didn't save them, so I can only describe them now.

cosmo can make herself into food right?
So if she ate her hand she could just absorb her hand through her blood tissue and her hand could mould back riiiiiight?

Post by galaxina on Nov 18, 2007 2:37:02 GMT
Actually yes, the hand would grow back, but not immediately, and she has no blood at all, so it has nothing to do with blood tissue, just skin tissue. However, she could absorb water through her chloroplasts on her skin cells (like all plants do) and then grow back any parts she had lost (like the hand) instantly. She can't reproduce by budding in this way, however, for the main one grows back to normal, while the others die off, still leaving only one Cosmo. She wouldn't have to eat her hand though, for like all plants, she makes her own food by the process of photosynthesis by absorbing both water and sunlight to make a plant food that is given to her for nutrients in the form of chlorophyll (like all plants), but when that is not available, or she just wants something different to eat, she can eat things with her mouth as well. It would still hurt her to bite it off, but she doesn't feel as much pain and I guess when she learns these powers will just get used to it. Unlike a normal creature who would feel intense pain, it would only hurt as much as a shot needle to her.She could also remove her head and cradle it in her arms as well, which I guess she wouldn't do very ofthen, for if someone who didn't know her too well saw that, they would most likely freak out.
I am glad to see that someone thinks these powers are quite possibly true, for that rarely is said here.
